PT Balai Pustaka (Persero) - Balai Pustaka is or commonly abbreviated as BP Jakarta based state-owned publishing and printing company. The Company was first established in 1917 as a continuation of  a Dutch company Commisie Inlandsche School voor en Volkslectuur. The name of PT Balai Pustaka (Persero) officially launched in 1996. Balai Pustaka's main business are book publishing (Culture & Character Book), multimedia business (Heritage Centre Online, E-Library, E-Learning, E-Community Centre, and Mobile Content) and also security paper printing business. Balai Pustaka is based in Jakarta and has 2 printing units, namely Unit Percetakan I in Pulokambing Pulogadung Jakarta and Unit Percetakan II in Rawa Gatal Pulogadung Jakarta. Balai Pustaka successfully closed 2012 with an 90% increase in net profit to reach Rp 1.9 billion from Rp 1 billion in 2011.
