Lembaga Kebijakan Pengadaan Barang / Jasa Pemerintah Republik Indonesia - LKPP is the National Public Procurement Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (hereinafter referred to as "NPPA"). The Agency is an independent state institution in the Indonesian government which has main duties to implement development and formulation of public procurement policies in Indonesia. LKPP is one of the 28 Non-Ministerial Government Institutions (LPNK) which is subordinate and accountable to the President of the Republic of Indonesia. According to LKPP's profile as cited by JobsCDC.com, the history of LKPP started on 2005 when the government of Indonesia establish Pusat Pengembangan Kebijakan Pengadaan Barang/Jasa Publik (PPKPBJ) or the Center for Public Procurement Policy Development. PPKPBJ is a second echelon working unit in the Ministry of National Development Planning of the Republic Indonesia / National Development Planning Agency (Kementerian PPN/BAPPENAS). Later in 2007, LKPP has officially operated as a separate legal entity from Kementerian PPN/BAPPENAS under the Presidential Regulation No 106 of 2007.
The Agency is based in Jakarta and its head office is located at Kawasan Rasuna Epicentrum, Jl Epicentrum Tengah Lot 11 B, Jakarta Selatan 12940. At present, LKPP's Organization Structure comprise of 1 Executive Secretary and 4 Deputy Chairs; Deputy Chair for Strategy and Policy Development, Deputy Chair for Monitoring Evaluation and Development of Information Systems, Deputy Chair for Human Resource Development and Deputy Chair for Legal Affairs and Complaints Handling. At present, its chairman is Agus Prabowo. He was sworn as the Chairman of LKPP in 3 July 2015.
