Universitas Negeri Malang - UM or the State University of Malang is a reputable educational state university in Indonesia, situated in Malang East Java. The University was officially established in 1954 as Perguruan Tinggi Pendidikan Guru (PTPG) Malang. In 1963 renamed into Malang Institute of Teaching and Education Sciences (IKIP Malang). Universitas Negeri Malang was launched in 1999. The University owned 3 campuses, namely Main Campus (Campus I) Semarang Street Malang, Campus II Sawojajar Malang, and Campus III Blitar. At present, the State University of Malang hosts 8 faculties and one post-graduate program. UM provides 64 educational study programs and 27 non educational programs, including 10 diploma programs, 52 undergraduate program (S1), 16 magister program (S2), 13 doctorate programs (S3).
