Universitas Terbuka - UT or Indonesia Open University is the 45th state university in Indonesia, which was formed in 1984. The University's learning systems applies a distance and open leaning systems. Indonesia Open University headquartered in Jakarta and supported by 37 Distance Learning Program Units (UPBJJ-UT), a regional technical executive units in UT. Universitas Terbuka host 4 faculties and 1 post graduate program, namely Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, and Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. The University offers more than 30 courses, including Bachelor Programs (S1), Master Programs (S2), Diploma Programs (D1, D2, D3, and D4), and Certificate Programs. As of April 2012, Universitas Terbuka controls 585,700 active students in all over Indonesia.
